1. Website privacy policy
This section applies exclusively to the Faros Rent a Car website and communications made through it. Online bookings are made and managed through a separate booking engine and are covered by the second section.

Data collected through the website
When you use the contact form, we collect only the information you enter: full name, email address, telephone number and message content. This information is used to respond to your request, provide availability information or prepare communications about our services.
The website does not process payments, create user accounts or collect payment card details. If you choose to make an online booking, you are transferred to the Bookingplan booking engine.
Technical data and third-party services
During your visit, technical information may be processed, such as your IP address, device or browser type and basic server security logs. The website also uses:
- Google reCAPTCHA to protect the contact form from unwanted or automated submissions.
- Google Maps on the contact page to display the business location.
- Google Fonts to display the website fonts.
- Bookingplan to display or open the external booking engine.
These services may receive technical data according to their own privacy policies. External services are not loaded before you choose to accept them. Your light or dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser.
Cookies, local storage and privacy choices
The website uses browser local storage to remember your choice regarding external services. This storage is strictly necessary so the consent notice is not shown on every page and is not used for advertising tracking.
The booking engine, map, Google Fonts and reCAPTCHA are enabled only if you accept the “External services” category. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button in the footer.
Purpose, legal basis and retention period
Contact details are used to respond to requests and take steps prior to a possible contract. Technical data may be used for security and proper website operation. Messages and related information are retained only for as long as necessary to handle the request or comply with legal obligations.
Security and your rights
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to protect personal data. Where provided by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing or withdraw your consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
2. Booking engine privacy policy
Online booking is provided through the external Bookingplan platform. The booking engine privacy policy is displayed by the platform itself and may be updated without changes to this page. For this reason, its content is not copied here.
How to view the current policy
- Open the booking engine using the button below.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select the “Personal Data” or “Privacy” link in the booking engine footer.
The policy opens in a pop-up window within the Bookingplan page. If it does not appear, make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser and select the “Personal Data” or “Privacy” link again.
